Congressman Pete Hoekstra to Deliver Keynote


Pete Hoekstra, Candidate for Governor Congressman Pete Hoekstra will kick things off for us with a keynote address at 11:30 AM.  Hoekstra is the former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and is now the Republican's ranking member.

As a Gubernatorial candidate, Pete will discuss issues impacting the U.S. and Michigan specifically.  He will also describe how the concepts contained in the MI FairTax proposal will put Michigan's economy back on the path to recovery, giving Michigan families jobs to choose from!

Fellow Michiganders,

Our elected officials work for us!

That's why Tom Stillings has been criss-crossing northern Michigan since he announced his candidacy on March 26, 2010.  Michigan's 1st Congressional District is the second largest district east of the Mississippi, so, Tom has been averaging 1200 miles per week!  But Tom is adamant that our elected officials work for us.  He is trying to meet as many of us possible so he can hear our concerns and answer our questions honestly and openly.

Since March, Tom has been in Escanaba, Indian River, Oscoda, Bessamer, Alden, Ontonogan, Onaway, Sault Ste Marie and all points in between.  He has attended Tea Parties, spoken at Candidate Forums and marched in parades.  He has met many of you, but he wants to meet many more.  That's why he is continues to put the miles on Ole Red as he tries to visit with as many Michiganders as possible.
